A group of people..some from PA and some from SF decided to go down to Arroyo Secco for this pretty amazing hike/water floating day. I had heard great things about it. You hike up a little a bit and then float down the water.
I learned a couple of lessons this day. 1 - Don't always rely on the planner to do know what they are doing. 2 - Always make sure you have plenty of water and food. and 3 - Make sure you know the way out!
And some parts of the water was fun to just float in. But some of the little rapids really hurt. I got so bruised! SO bruised. Lots of rocks. And we were in the water for so long because we weren't with anyone that knew the way out.
Would I go again? Yes. But ONLY if the person I was going with knew what they were doing!
We were starving when we finished...and we stopped for some food. We had a choice of Outback or Denny's and for some ridiculous reason...they chose Denny's. Weird. I could have used a steak after that day for sure.
