Football

There are many things I love about living in California. One of them is the fact that you can be outside year round! Back in December I joined the ward Flag Football team!

Every year the Stanford ward plays the San Francisco ward in the "Battle of the Bay" friendly competition. We played a scrimmage game against the Stanford 1st ward and killed them (to put it lightly). It was SO much fun and I pretty much fell in love in flag football. (As a side note - I also, accidentally, gave some girl on the 1st ward team a shiner! oops!)

This is the team before the big game against SF ward - when we were still all so clean!

And after the game....not so clean!! It was more like mud football since it had rained a ton the day before!

We ended up with a tie game so not exactly the outcome we were wanting....but I guess at least we didn't lose (like the guys did)! Oh..and we even had a mascot (Our Bishop) and 2 fantastic coaches.

We are supposed to be playing Hungtington Beach ward in a few weeks so we are starting up practices again! I can't wait to play. I just wish we had enough people to get a league going.
