Dirty Thirties

I'm not entirely sure how I got to be this old, but I did. I still feel like I'm in my early 20's...I wonder if that mentality ever changes or if we always just think we feel younger than we are?

This was my very first birthday (not counting the ones on the mission) that I wasn't with my family. (When your birthday is 3 days after Christmas, it's rare that your family isn't together for it).



I woke up to the doorbell sometime in the morning and to my surprise it was a delivery for me! I was so excited that my parents sent me these flowers and balloon! It meant the world to me that they thought to do that!

And then my wonderful roommate Lauren came home from work with Kara's Cupcakes and took me to dinner! It was a perfect, simple birthday...and the best way to turn 30.
