Chilliwack, Canada!

In February, I bought a last minute ticket to go up to Chilliwack B.C. to visit Grandpa and see Mom & Dad who were also out west to spend time with Grandpa Peel!

I am so glad that I went! I had a wonderful time visiting with Grandpa, putting together puzzles, and just chatting with him. His memory isn't so good these days so I feel like any time I get to spend with him is a blessing.

I was really stressed with my situation at work and really, really, really needed to get away so it worked out as a perfect little vacation to spend time with family and see some of Western Canada.

I happened to be in BC the week before the Olympics were starting. So, I got to see the Olympic torch pass through town!

And saw all the Canadians with their Olympic fever! It was so great to see "Go Canada Go" everywhere I went and see all that Canadian pride!

We tried to see some of the Olympic stuff in the city, but nothing was really open to the public yet. This was about as close as we got to anything.

Vancouver is really a great city. And so beautiful!

We went to some park to walk across a suspension bridge.

On the bridge!!

It was a gorgeous area so we went on a little walk and explored a little bit. There were a couple of little water falls and the trees were massive.

Dad and Me on Vancouver Island with the bridge in the background.

Mom & Dad in a tree trunk!

Of course we stopped to take a look at the Totem Poles!

It was a perfect getaway weekend! I love going back to Canada - it really is such a beautiful country!
