80's Prom Night!!!

Colleen is getting married! Which means......bachelorette party!!! A few weeks ago all Colleen's girl friends got together to celebrate her last days as a single woman. And what better way to do it then to pull out your coolest 80's clothes and go to an 80's prom night!?!! :)

We all met at her place to get ready together. I could not believe that Colleen still has a hair crimper!! It was so fun to get ready and to see what everyone wore. Everyone got into it! It was awesome. We talked about slap bracelets and leg warmers and everything 80's all night as we reminisced about our childhood days. It was great!

After getting ready we headed to the Norwalk train station and took the train into the city. YES - we took the train dressed like that. It was great. Everyone was trying not to stare! One guy at the train station asked one of us if we headed to a costume party....someone responded, "why? do we look like it?" ha ha.

We took some pictures when we got to Grand Central... I was pretty much walking neon. The crazy thing about shopping for this night - I didn't even have to dig through goodwill - everything was in the mall cause apparently it's all coming back in style! Just go to Forever 21..you'll see what I mean. Oh....and I even found these very cool neon orange keds at Walmart!

The 80's prom was at Webster Hall in the city. You walk in and everything is set up for Prom! They have all these characters that come out and interact with you - you become a part of the set. You become the class of '89 of Wanneget High. (Yes - that's what they named the made up school) It was so much fun!

We danced like crazy to all 80's music of course!! All freakin' night long. I was running all on adrenaline and just had to keep moving cause if I stopped...I don't think I would have been able to get up again. I had run 17.5 miles earlier in the day and tried my best not to think about the fact that all I wanted to do was not be on my feet.

Ha ha...I love this picture of Colleen, Jessica and I! It was so much fun! After the Prom we all headed to TGIFridays for some food and drinks and then took the train back to Connecticut.

I love these girls!!! I am so excited for Colleen and Josh to get married in a couple of weeks! They are so perfect for each other! Finally Josh got it right! ;)

Here's to your last days as a single girl!!! What a great night!! It made me love the 80's all over again!

Love the outfit and the hair.

And what is this shenanigans of running 17.5 miles? Holy smokes. So proud of you, I wish I could do that.

And Lindsey Lohan was in rehab, that's why she came to sumo. I'm pretty sure Provo Utah would not be her normal first pick of places to visit.
