Happy Birthday Caleigh!

Today is my niece Caleigh's birthday! She turned 9 today. And yesterday I got to go to her birthday party! It was great to do something other than work...and it's always fun to see my nieces and nephew!

Here is Caleigh with her birthday cake...I told her to smile...but in the end I was much happier with the silly face! :)

This next picture is of Paige sneaking a cookie while the rest of us were watching Caleigh open her presents! Paige is quite the character....Ever since Christmas she has been going through this "pretend like i don't like Aunt Christine" phase. It started when Paige met the soon-to-be new addition to our family, Aunt Kim. And ever since Christmas...whenever I go over to visit..Paige is first excited to see me and then it is almost as if she remembers that she isn't supposed to like me..and she gives me funny looks and pretends like she doesn't want me to stay.

But yesterday it was different...she practically ran outside when I first got there. And she kept telling all her family from her Dad's side, "that's Aunt Christine" or "Look, Aunt Christine is here". And at no point in the day did she remember that she was supposed to pretend not to like me! :) It made me happy! :)

I didn't see much of Jake while I was there yesterday because he was off playing with his cousins most of the time...but I did get him to take a picture with me when we were being Cookie Monsters! :)
