Happy Halloween!!!

I love Halloween!!! Ok...so I'm really excited to brag about my costume this year because I made the dang thing from scratch. And put a little more effort into it this time around. I finally decided on Monday what I was going to be and so I went out and bought material, cut it out and sewed it all together and this is what I made....

I think it turned out pretty dang good. People were asking me where I bought it...so That's gotta mean something. Who knew I could sew? Uh..I sure didn't.

Josh and Me! Gotta love his and Colleens (see below) costumes!

We had another rockin' party at Joshua's this year. It was so much fun! Josh and Colleen did a fantastic job getting the place ready...Awesome decorations, a fog machine, good music....it was a lot of fun.

Colleen and Me

Me with Sarah Palin....also known as Suzanne.

Me and the Ninja Turtle girlfriends! The best girls ever.

Laura couldn't find my pulse. She looks worried.

Kelsey lovin her Diet Coke. :)
I have no idea if I'm going to be able to top this costume next year. I'll just have to move and re-use it. :)

Great River Golfing

A couple of guys from my office got a bunch of people to take a day off and go Golfing at Great River Golf Club. There were 12 or so of us...and it was a lot of fun. A couple of the girls that went had never even golfed before so we played entirely for fun. It was a good time.

Definitely need to golf more next season. This was the only time I got out on the golf course this year! Sad.

Celine

Uh...you better believe Jennah and I went to the Celine Dion concert at MSG! It was so much fun. A great concert.

Jennah is propably the biggest Celine Dion fan I have EVER met. She knows pretty much every single song. She even knows the words to some of the french songs. Impressive.
Celine puts on a good show. She sang her popular songs which was good for me cause unlike Jennah I don't know every single song, but I think I knew almost every one she sang at the concert.

Virginia Beach

Back in June...not long after I got home from China..I called my friend Becky up to see if she wanted to run the Virginia Beach 1/2 Marathon with me. She was up for it...so we signed up. I figured I needed something to keep me motivated to keep running. What I didn't realize at the time was that my life was about to get sucked away by work.

So - I ran about once a week...sometimes twice. Basically just on the weekends. But I had promised Becky that I would run it no matter what. So I went down to DC, met up with Becky and we roadtripped it down to VA Beach.

Can I make a recommendation? Don't run a 1/2 marathon when you haven't been running! Holy crap it was hard. I felt great until about mile 7...then by Mile 9 I pretty much felt like my legs were going to give out. But I finished it. Becky and I stuck together through the entire thing. We walked a little...but we crossed the finish line in one piece. I was sore for a good few days after the race. :)

It was a fantastic weekend. I had such a good time spending time with Becky! I hadn't seen her since we left Provo after graduating. Funny how she is the one I live the closest to that I went to BYU with...but the one I see the least. Anyway - It was a good time.

July

July feels like ages ago now....But here is what I did......

Saw lots of fireworks. Norwalks July 3rd, New Canaan's on July 4th, and Greenwich on July 3rd. It was pretty much the longest July 4th celebration ever.....3 days straight. Mckay and I also ran the "Four on the Forth" 4-mile run in New Canaan the morning of the 4th. It was a tough run...very humid and hilly.

Hung out with some friends... Kate was in town and we met up at Hard Rock cafe for dinner. And then I went to see Legally Blonde with Tara and Katie. Fun show.

Oh...and played quite a bit of DDR....Fun game. It's a dang good workout too. :)

The best part about July was that Kathy, Dan and the kids were in town for a visit! It was a lot of fun to spend time with them. I miss having them close by.
