Halloween!

I have always loved Halloween! I LOVED it when I was young and got to go get free candy from complete strangers! (What kid doesn't love that?) And I love it even now...having an excuse to dress up in silly costumes for a night and just have fun. Last year I threw together a last minute costume and went as Willy Wonka and Jaime was an Umpa Lumpa! Earlier this year Jaime and I had talked about going as a Mariachi Band. But then Jaime decided to move away and leave me to figure halloween out on my own.

And this is what I came up with.....

Twister anyone? :) It was easy to throw together....just wrapped the twister mat around me, threw on red fishnet stockings (which you can't see in the pic) and a very cool $5 black and red wig..and i was ready to go! :)

Reid and I with our bad selves..

I really liked my wig...It made me feel a little Bad A....! :) Bishop even told me that I should go red! ha ha. I don't think so. I didn't like it that quite that much.

Heather, Josh, Christine

We decided to do the ward halloween party at Josh's place....He lives in a house down by the water in Norwalk. It was so much fun. We cleared out his living room and had a way fun dance party. I was all over the place...I don't really remember the last time I danced so much actually! I'm pretty sure my Bishop was a little shocked to see me getting down on the dance floor! :) ha ha..

Bishop and his wife.

I had a few people play a little twister on me! Sister Pratt (above) was all over me..which was hilarious. Her hands and feet were everywhere! :) Suzanne even got into the fun (see below).

Halloween was a blast! Who knows what i'll be next year.....

Some of My New Favorite People...

I love having friends. They just make everything so much better. Living in Connecticut for 2 years has proven to be difficult..espescially in the Friend department. Don't get me wrong...I've had some great friends here (Jaime and Cassidy were life savers)....but then this summer it seemed like all the really good friends I did have picked up and moved out!

But lucky for me....A few fabulous people came my way and have become some of my new most favoritest people....

Suzanne, Heather, Stephanie, Christine

I love, love, love these girls. I don't know what I would do without them. They keep me sane (most of the time). We all got to know each other well on a recent trip up to Boston together.

This was everyone that came...

Nathan, Stephanie, Suzanne, Heather, Christine, Josh, and Reid.

And it couldn't have been a better group to go with! I didn't really know Heather, Steph or Reid all that well....but luckily they were not only normal (something that is surprisingly not always easy to find out here) but so much FUN! I mean how could they not be fun when do things like this.....

Can anyone say "bed jumping"!! :)

Suzanne and Heather were good sports about satisfying my need to take a million pictures of myself all the time.. :)

Josh and Me..(he's not so much on the "new" friend list)...he's actually been a friend for a long time. Even back to the BYU days!

How can you not love this picture of Josh! It depicts our friendship so well....Me being crazy and up in his face....and Josh just smirking at me pretending he's annoyed when I know secretly he loves the attention..

Me and the Girls kickin' it at MIT campus in Boston!

Oh...and what about Reid!?!! I don't really have many pictures of the guy....but I did manage to save a video of his which is on the internet...gotta love youtube! Reid is by far one of my new favoritest people.

He's hilarious.....check this out...

Thanksgiving

For the first time in 9 years I was actually able to be home for Thanksgiving this year!! My high school reunion was conveniently planned on the same weekend as Canadian Thanksgiving! I was very excited to be able to spend thanksgiving with my parents and a couple of my favorite Canadian families!....

And eat SO much GREAT food!!...yumm......

I'm asked about Canadian Thanksgiving more frequently than you might think...so if you are wondering about it - just read wikipedia (it's always right, right?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving#History_of_Thanksgiving_in_Canada
Nope we don't have the the whole pilgrims history....but we Canadians are still grateful.

Rebecca, Rachel, and Christine

Me and Sharon

No - we did not plan to match! I just love this girl and it was so much fun to spend much of the weekend with her! :)

So...since I've already celebrated Thanksgiving this year...I decided that I'm going to be in Europe somewhere around the time of American Thanksgiving. While you are eating Turkey, I'll either be in the Swiss Alps or maybe enjoying a crepe in Paris.. :)
