Can You Believe This????

Yesterday was just about one of the coolest days ever! I was in LA visiting friends and we decided to just run and get some ice cream...but we got something even better! We ended up right where the Babel Movie premier was happening!! We were standing outside Didi Reese (the ice cream store) trying to figure out what was going on...and we weren't even there for more than a couple of minutes when a Toyota Prius pulls up (yes -a Prius..go figure) and out walks BRAD PITT!!!!! Can you believe that!?!! What are the chances!? I'm still in shock!

He got out of the car and walked straight towards where we were standing and starting signing autographs! Too bad I didn't have anything for him to sign! But I am SOOOOO happy that I had my camera and was able to get a view pictures. He was so close to me! I could have reached out and probably touched him! That's how close he was! Brad Pitt! Wow!

He continued down the line of people signing pictures and what not..and I just followed. My friends were like "where is Christine?"....Then they noticed I was still right next to Brad Pitt...but like 10 feet down from them! Yeah...I still can't believe it! You can definitely tell that he's getting older..but it doesn't matter. He's still Hot! Anyway - here are the pictures:

So - this will definitely go down as one of my best days! :) Brad Pitt....wow! I saw him...! I'm still in shock!

I just got back from a trip to L.A. I went out to visit my good friends from school...And it was so much fun! Finally - a real vacation! :)

On Friday - some people from Brian's work were going to Disneyland...So me and Rachel (Brian's girlfriend) went with him. It was a lot of fun. It was my first time to Disneyland. I've been to disney world a couple of times..but never Disneyland.

The Haunted House....It was decked out inside for Christmas with the "Nightmare before Christmas" theme..it was pretty cool.

This was in line for Splash Mountain.....Brian was starting to get tired....

On the ride there was a girl (who was probably like 12 years old) in front of me that was so funny...she was talking to me the entire ride. My favorite comment..."The best way to get on rides fast is to ride them as a single. Either that or break your friends leg and then bring them to Disneyland cause you always get to the front of the line with your friend." I was laughing so much just listening to her.

I took this on Splash Mountain...and put it away as fast as I could before we got dumped on from water..!

Rachel and I got the most wet...I was soaked!!!

I took this picture especially for my niece Paige who is the biggest Sleeping Beauty fan! So - I thought I better get a picture of her castle.

It was a fun day. We met up with Brian's friends from work for lunch and dinner. And we also watched the Disneyland fireworks at night with them!

On Saturday...Ben and John took me to Venice Beach and we walked around. The water was took cold to go in..but it was still fun to walk around and people watch.

We met up with Brian and Rachel and went to Pinks for some food....I guess it's a famous hotdog joint in L.A. They have just about any kind of hotdog you can think of!

Then at night we went to third street and Santa Monica Pier...

Brian and I decided to see if we could win a prize on this....we were both too weak!

But I was pathetically weak! So - I owed Brian a Churro!

On Sunday Ben and John picked me up at Brian's and we drove around trying to find some home's of famous people....we saw a lot of nice gates and big high hedges! But their neighbor's have really nice houses! :) We then went to church and ran into Devin and Jason..so we hung out at there place for a while....

And then Jason had the BEST idea to go to Didi Reese to get some ice cream...which is when one of the best parts of my trip happened....I saw Brad Pitt! :) (As you can see from the above post!)

And what would be a trip to see Brian without playing any dirty marbles!?!! :) I lost every single game of dirty marbles we played. On our last game we made a bet...and whoever lost the game had to chug a can of coke. Well - Obviously I was the one that had to chug it..and I can proudly say that I downed that thing quick!!! :)

It was such a fun trip!!! The weather was perfect, the guys were all great, and Brad Pitt was hot! :) Who could ask for anything more!!!

Happy Halloween!

It has been a while since I've put any kind of costume together for Halloween! I had a couple of things going on this year..So I decided to dress up. Here is a picture of my costume. I'm supposed to be Willy Wonka and my friend Jaime is an Oompa Loompa!

Obviously Jaime put a lot more effort into her costume. We had all of 30 minutes to throw mine together after work...So Jaime came with me to Goodwill and helped me throw a few things together. It was a fun Halloween this year!

The first of many...

A couple of weeks ago I made my first trip to Texas. I had training in Dallas and decided to go out a few days early to visit Steve, Janet and the kids in Austin. They moved there a few months ago. I rented a car in Dallas and drove down to Austin...the trip wasn't too bad except for the fact that no one knows how to drive in Texas. Honestly - what is with people always driving slow in the passing lane!!! It drives me crazy!

I ended up buying a video ipod while I was in Austin...so Steve and I spent a good deal of the time playing with our Ipods. He showed me all the tricks....It's my new favorite toy. And it's helped motivate me to get back to the gym.

I didn't spend the entire time playing with my Ipod...We did get out and do a few things also. Emily had a Fair going on at her school....They had lots of games, food, and prizes. The kids had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures...

This picture of Noah was right after the big blow up Thomas Train (that you go inside and climb and jump in) decided to deflate and collapse on him. I think the poor guy was traumatized. He didn't want to go back in.

Steve volunteered at the prize wheel....

This is Austin (and no - they didn't know they would be moving to Austin when they named him...pure coincidence). He was sooooooooooo grumpy this day.

Sunday after Church, they took me for a walk through a nearby forest. And we stopped at the park for a bit for the kids to play.

And Austin was much happier......

Oh - and I can't forget....Just take a wild guess what my rental car was!?!!! Yep - a Chevy, HHR! But this time it was a gold/beige color!! When the Avis person told me what I was getting my response was..."Well, it's ugly - but I'll take it anyway". Here it is:

Sunday I left Steve and Janet's and drove up to Dallas for my training. I almost got lost a couple of times, but finally made it to the hotel in one piece. The training was alright...better than being in the office I guess. Monday night they had a dinner for everyone there and then they had busses taking people downtown for those who wanted to go hang out. I decided to go with a couple of other people from the NY office. Well - the bus dropped us off in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Everything was closed. It was a freaking ghost town...Except for the few sketchy people hanging around. I'm not the biggest Dallas fan.

So I guess that was the first of probably many trips to Texas now that Steve and Janet live there. I already have my next trip planned...

Canadian Thanksgiving

Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October. I'm often asked what it is that Canada celebrates for thanksgiving. And the answer is...unlike the American tradition of remembering the pilgrims...the Canadian Thanksgiving tradition comes from being thankful for a succesful harvest. There is a little more detail to the history...but that is the general reason.

Anyway - My parents came down to Connecticut for thanksgiving weekend. I don't remember the last time I was in Canada for Thanksgiving...it's been a long time! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

We went for a walk along the shore here in Connecticut and took lots of pictures. Here are just a few of them...

After the walk - we went back to the hotel that Kathy and Dan were staying at and went swimming in the pool and the hot tub!

I spent most of my time with Paige on my back telling me to go "faster, faster"! It was a good work out! :)

Because Mom and Dad were driving back to Montreal on Monday - we decided to have a thanksgiving dinner at my apartment on Sunday. Even though we normally eat turkey on Thanksgiving - I suggested Ham instead since I didn't really have anything I needed to make the turkey (My kitchen supplies and cooking skills are limited).

I think dinner was pretty succesful. And it was a lot of fun to have everyone come to my place. I had to try to entertain the kids since I don't have a whole lot of toys for them to play with. I broke out the slinky I had in my closet...and had Jake watching one movie on my laptop and Caleigh using my mini dvd player (since they couldn't agree on the same movie!)

And for Paige - Well everything I tried only lasted a few minutes with her. One of my attempts was taking pictures with her! :)

It was a great Canadian Thanksgiving! I'm still not sure what I'm going to do for American Thanksgiving....stay here...go to home to Montreal...or go somewhere else..!?!! What ever I decide..it will be better than work! :)
